• Since 1976 Member of the Board of Trustees and 1999 - 2005 Treasurer of Empress Frederick Foundation for medical training, since 2007 Vice-Chairman
• 100 publications, over 200 lectures
•  1986 Awarded Ernst von Bergmann Medal by the German Medical Association for his contribution to the medical training

After working as a chief physician at the internal medicine-gastroenterology practice (1.6.2001 to 31.5.2006) at the Wenckebach Hospital, work since 1.6.2006 at the Kant Clinic. In addition, teaches and lectures at Charité Hospital & Kais.Friedr.Stiftung.
